1. ORGANIZAÇÃO

The Ribadouro Nautical Club, together with EVENTSPORT and PORTOCARGO Runners, organize the Douro Verde Half Marathon, which aims to stimulate sports as an element of health promotion and quality of life. It will be held on March 22, 2020, starting at 10h00, a 21Km Half Marathon, for those who want to split the course and compete in a team we will have the 2 X 10Km Half Marathon and a 6Km Walk. The race takes place in Ribadouro (Baião) on the banks of the Douro River with a stunning landscape.

2. ROUTE

The “Douro Verde” International Half Marathon will take place in a “triangle-edile” on the banks of the Douro River, starting at the Pala Nautical Pier, next to the Douro Royal Valley Hotel, clockwise along the 211 national road. passing through Porto Manso, still in the Baião Municipality, crossing the Mosteirô Bridge (whose reconfiguration and reconstruction in the early 70's of the last century, was in charge of Engº Edgar Cardoso), to Porto Antigo, in the Cinfães Municipality, District of Viseu, taking the number 222 road to Lugar de Pias, crossing the Bestança River (the least polluted river in Europe), turning right on the CM 1022 road, passing Souto do Rio, Ventuzela, Vila Nova until the Leisure at Ribeiro de Sampaio where, in a party and entertainment environment, the “witness exchange” is carried out for athletes who opt for the relay race (two), continuing to the famous Carrapatelo Dam, which can be It is the largest lock in Europe (35 meters deep), crossing the dam and reaching Marco de Canaveses, Paços de Gaiolo, going up the unnamed road, passing through Mourilhermo, until the Service Station “ Carcouto ”in Barreiro, down to the Parque das Merendas in Lavadouro, following the road to the Pala, where the very beautiful and selective Half Marathon will end, as well as the second part of the Relay Race.
For those who just want to appreciate the lush beauty of the surrounding countryside, there is a 6-kilometer hike that “between Rio and Heaven, there is the Green that separates them”!
For those who wish to combine participation or presence in the events, the pleasure of enjoying a relaxing weekend in one of the “most beautiful places of Portugal”, there is an abundant and diverse hotel offer, ranging from the many and varied “tourist houses”. The 21 Km Half Marathon is for federated and non-federated athletes of both sexes and the following age groups:

Juniors / Seniors - Male and Female (From 18 to 34).
VET 35 - Male and Female Veterans (From 35 to 39)
VET 40 - Male and Female Veterans (From 40 to 44)
VET 45 - Male and Female Veterans (From 45 to 49)
VET 50 - Male and Female Veterans (50 to 54)
VET 55 - Male and Female Veterans (55 to 59)
VET 60 - Male and Female Veterans (From 60 years old onwards)

The Half Marathon (Relay 10 km) on the road is competitive in nature and is segmented by 3 types of classification (Male, Female and Mixed).

3. AWARDS

All 21 km and 2 x 10 km runners and walkers who cross the finish line legally and who are regularly registered will receive a participation medal.

The top 10 finishers, male and female, will be entitled to monetary prizes, as well as the top 3 finishers in each category, described in the 21Km table below.

Awards 21K

The 21Km individual prizes (trophies + cash prizes) are awarded to the top 3 finishers of each rank General M / F, Senior M / F, VET 35 M / F, VET 40 M / F, VET 45 M / F, VET 50 M / F, VET 55 M / F, VET 60 M / F.
The top three teams will be awarded a trophy.

1. For the best teams prize the 3 best times of the athletes of each team are considered according to the overall classification.
2. Teams with less than 3 athletes are not considered in the team classification.
3. Team classification will only exist when participating in the 21k Half Marathon course.

There will also be a trophy and a cash prize of € 100.00 for the larger team.

The Douro Verde Half Marathon Prizes must be claimed by athletes within 30 days after the race and participants must send an email to info@eventsport.pt with the following information: Name, Position, Tier, Proof, Value, NIB, Mobile and Email + Citizen's Card, Invoice-Receipt (Green Receipt) and Proof of NIB.

Prize money awarded is subject to applicable tax law.

Payment is due within 15 days of receipt of all requested documents.

Prizes will only be awarded on the day of the race at their own ceremony.

Cash prizes are not cumulative, you always receive the highest value prize.

Walking at a distance of 6km will not be competitive. It is open to all participants, with no age limit.


4. REGISTRATION

Registration can be made online at www.meiamaratonadouroverde.pt or at www.eventsport.pt website, payment can be made by ATM (MB), Visa or in cash at one of the following locations:

EVENTSPORT - Rua da Bélgica 2340, 4400-053 Vila Nova de Gaia.

Cash entries at the following locations will end on March 19 after this date entries will be made at the kit delivery location.

Entries can also be made on the day of collection of the kits. (The registration fee includes a last minute fee of 5.00 €)

All data entered by the athlete in the registration form is entirely your responsibility.

The organization is not responsible for breaking stock of t-shirt sizes.

All participants are entitled to participation medal, technical t-shirt, back, water, sports insurance, participation diploma and snacks.

The organization may extend the registration deadline and even allow registration for the event at the kit delivery location if the maximum number of registrants has not been reached at its discretion. In this case, the registrations will have a surcharge of € 5.00 to the current value.

The organization reserves the right to make promotions that change entry prices (discounts), as well as entry bid contests, as it sees fit.

Participants of the 6 km walk are required to wear the back and the jersey provided by the organization.

The organization reserves the right of proof acceptance of any registration.

Entries may be made individually or on behalf of clubs, associations or companies.

All athletes and walkers have sports insurance.


5. KIT AND DORSAL LIFTING

The lifting of the kits should be done individually. The registrant must present his / her personal identification and proof of enrollment confirmed / paid.

Kits will only be collected by third parties upon presentation of original documentation.

Participation kits will not be delivered on the day of the event (except for participants who live far away and request it from the organization in advance).

After the race there will be no delivery of kits, shirts or any other gift.

The backs received in the participants' kit (21Km, 2X10km and 6Km) must be affixed to the front of the jersey, and cannot be removed until the finish line is exceeded, under penalty of disqualification.

The supplied chip is non-transferable and placed in the running shoes as instructed in the lifting of the shoe.

In the Walk it is mandatory to wear the shirt and dorsal provided by the organization.

The organization is not responsible for breaking stock of shirts sizes.

Note - The organization does not provide pins to secure the dorsals.

In the relay (10Km + 10Km distance) the teams are made up of 2 male elements, 2 female elements or 1 female element and one male element, one of which is responsible for registering the team (2), the 2 elements will be identified with a dorsal A and A B, each of which will have to cover a 10,500 meter sector. Athletes may only pass the timing chip within the transition zone, duly signaled by the organization in the middle of the course.

The team will be disqualified in the event that its members do not transmit the chip at the designated location.

Each member of the relay can only cross one sector and by a single team.

In the relay, the prize money will be awarded to the first 3 male, female and mixed teams that make the course within the norms established by the organization.

The organization provides buses to transport athletes from Dorsal B to the chip transition site, the Dorsal A athlete must be on site to be transported back to the Goal Line.

Buses have the following departure time from Meta to the chip's transition location: at 9h00, 9h30. Once the last bus departs, it will not be possible to make any transport to the chip's transition location.

6. EVENT

The concentration of all participating athletes should be made from 9am Next to the Douro Royal Valley Hotel & SPA in the Place of Portela River 4640-400 Ribadouro.

The organization guarantees the sports insurance required by law for all non-federated registered participants. If the participant resorts to a National Health Service Institution, due to their participation in the race, they must inform the organization within 24 hours of the start of the event to activate sports insurance, incurring the risk of the process not being accepted by the health insurance company. insured if this notification is not given in a timely manner. Payment of the out-of-pocket fees is the responsibility of the participant and may be reimbursed by the insurer if the process meets the necessary requirements.

The organization is not responsible for the poor physical condition of the participants or for any accident or damage that athletes may cause or suffer before and after the race, exempting the organizers and sponsors of any lawsuit.

Any claim will only be accepted in writing if made within 30 minutes after the release of the results of the race, by depositing 100 €.

During the race the water stations will be distributed, in duly marked places, at 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km and finish line.

In the race there will be time control by chip (electronic timing) along the course.

The timing and classification of the race are the responsibility of the judges and timekeepers of the Regional Council of Arbitration of the Porto Athletics Association.

All participants who commit one of the following infractions will be penalized: do not complete the course in its entirety; do not perform departure control; do not bring the dorsal to the chest and clearly visible during the test; falsify any information relating to their entry; run without a sweater; run with the dorsal on incorrect terms, run on the sidewalks; do not respect the instructions of the organization.

The chip must be placed in the foot as indicated by the organization, the chips are reusable and its return to the organization is required.

For safety reasons, during the race all riders must be exclusively in the right lane and the official course of the race.

Any irregularity or unsportsmanlike attitude committed by the runner will be disqualified.

Arrival control will be closed 3 hours after the start of the race.

Only the organization's cars and security force vehicles may accompany the race.

In case there are no technical and / or safety conditions for the race, the organization reserves the right to transfer or cancel the event, which will be taken on the day of the event.

The organization of the race is not responsible for any accident that may occur to the participants BEFORE and AFTER the race, and all measures will be taken for the safety of the athletes.

The security of the event will be supported by the competent bodies and there will be monitors (staff of the organization) to guide the participants.

By participating in this event, the runner assigns all rights to use his / her image, waiving the receipt of any amount that may be earned with rights to television or any other type of transmission and / or dissemination, promotions, internet and any media in anytime.

The access to the concentration and start areas will be signaled, being forbidden to jump the grids that delimit these areas of the race at the moment of the departure or at any other time, under any pretext.

The organization of the event, as well as its sponsors, are not responsible for damages caused by the corridor registered in the event, either to the public property, to third parties or other participants, these being the sole and exclusive responsibility of the author.

The organization may suspend the race for any issue that endangers the safety of participants, as well as public acts, vandalism and / or force majeure.

No cancellations are allowed and only substitutions may be made.

Entries may end when the organization so wishes for security or any other reason.

Ratings may change upon final confirmation of all times and ranks.

All participants (after registering) assume this regulation.- Any omissions of this regulation will be resolved by the Technical Director of the event and in accordance with the official regulations of the Portuguese Athletics Federation.
